SHANE Border Collie Young Male in Richmond, Virginia

My story
Have you ever seen a dog more happy and content to bask in the sun than this boy’s picture with his face drinking in the winter sunshine?  If you knew Shane’s background you would call it a miracle to see such contentment on his face.  He has been in foster care for two months and the transformation after we took him from the small town shelter as where he was a shutdown spirit.  Love conquers all and this Border Collie mix boy who is 1-2 year old and 35 pounds, has climbed out of the neglect from his early life and he is ready to “bask in the fun and the sun” and to be loved.  He is still shy at first, but will warm up quickly to a family or person who genuinely express love to him.  Shane has a spunky personality that is fun and silly.  He enjoys his toys and he loves to be the center of attention.  This boy is a champ on the leash, kennel trained, housebroken and is eager to please.   In two months we have seen the miracle of love and a gift for peeling the shell away and releasing the needy souls of neglected dogs.   We are grateful to his foster mom and dad for unlocking the key to Shane’s joy for life and the ability to bask in the sun with a smile on his face.   Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you want to make Shane your BFF.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at /adoption.
