My story
Our sweet young Oreo boy is just a delicious, big love bug, that just wants to be your best friend and your daily shadow. He loves to play and have a big ole time in the backyard daily chasing a ball if you throw it , so we are looking for someone with another dog or at least playdates with others several times a week. He needs lots of love and reassurance right now because he is coming from a shelter situation (now in foster care) where he was picked up as a stray and had to stay there for a while. His new foster says Oreo just wants to know that he belongs and is loved. We know there is a family or person out there that can give that. He is a young boy at just 2 years old, 60 pounds and a Lab/Pointer mix? He gets along easily with dogs and is curious about cats in a nice way. He seems to like them overall. Playtime is his most beloved activity in life, besides getting petted and loved on by his foster mom. Actually Oreo thinks he is a lapdog and his foster mom keeps telling him he is TOO BIG…but he still tries to crawl up in her lap to love on her. In just 3 days he is almost completely housebroken and he is crate trained completely. Funny thing is he tries to get in the crate with the kittens at the foster home and the foster has to turn him around to go the other way. Not enough room in that smaller crate for a big boy like Oreo. He will make someone a great walking/possibly running companion. He will lay down near you when it’s time to chill or time to watch you work on the computer or whatever. . We will ask that his forever home has a fenced yard and lots of love and time to spend with this boy that is a sponge for attention and love.
