MIA Australian Cattle Dog Adult Female in Richmond, Virginia

My story
Meet Miss Mia a wonderful 4 year old girl who is an Australian Cattle Dog German Shepherd Mix.  She has the amazing look and coloring of her dad who was an Australian Cattle Dog but weighing in a 70-75 lbs she definitely has the size of her mother who was a German Shepherd.  Mia just wants to please her owner.  Mia really needs an active family who will make sure she gets the stimulation and exercise her breed mix requires.  She loves to be outside so a family that hikes and/or camps and loves outside activities would be ideal.  She also loves to play ball and will play fetch until she wears you out.  You will be tired before Mia is.  Both her mom and dad were working breeds so any activity that gives her stimulation is fabulous.  She needs a 'job' and will be happy to go to work.  You can pay her with lots of love and plenty of treats.  Mia needs to be in an only dog.  She is good with other dogs at the dog park but really wants to be the canine in charge at home.  Being an only dog eliminates that need.  She will flourish in a home where she gets all the attention.  She is crate trained, house-broken, sits on command, and knows to wait for the release word (ok) before eating her food even though it is in front of her. She needs a little work on her leash manners but is improving daily. Mia also loves to travel: she has been on cross-country trips, camping, and to the mountains. Mia is spayed, current on all her shots and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.  She is also microchipped and she will come with her slow feed bowl, some food, and her winter coat.  To be considered for Mia's forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net or .  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Mia is currently in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.  Due to state regulations we are unable to adopt to residents of MA and RI.)
