Roland is a huge snuggle bug. He would love nothing more than to be fused to your side snuggling on the couch all day.
He was pulled from the Roanoke County Regional Center, when they were at full capacity, so he is scared of other dogs and appears to react aggressively towards them. He has NEVER shown aggression towards people. He also chases cats and livestock so a home with a fenced in yard where he can be the center of attention would be ideal.
He has learned quickly with treat training basic commands. He will bark at strangers but falls into a puddle of tail wags when he meets them.
Does well with a strong, alfa male owner and prefers that to a softer approach. My boyfriend and I have been training him together and he much prefers the alfa leadership. Fantastic, sweet boy that's had some rough years. I think he will be an amazing companion for someone who has the time to train him well.
